A new chain size has now been introduced to our half check collars. This smaller chain will now allow us to use 1/2″ wide straps, and are not as bulky for smaller dogs.

Swarovski Crystal Indulgence Collection
August 3rd, 2010I’ve been asked quite a few times now to create collars for greyhounds, salukis, whippets and Italian greyhounds with “a little bit more bling”. To that end I’ve come up with the Crystal Indulgence collection, for die hard Swarovski crystal fanatics! These exquisite collars are literally covered in as many dazzling Swarovski Elements as possible making a beautiful gift for that special sighthound. What’s more, this range starts at £35, prices not to be sniffed at, so without further ado, here are the latest additions to P’etiquette Canine Couture.
Tiger’s Eye and Citrine Chic Sighthound Collar
July 29th, 2010I’ve added a new gemstone sighthound collar to the site; Tiger’s Eye & Citrine Chic.
This gorgeous collar, as the title suggests features individually hand sewn tiger’s eye and citrine gemstones alongside Swarovski crystals and a few glass seed beads for good measure.

July 2nd, 2010Handmade Leather Dog Harness with Swarovski Crystals
June 7th, 2010The latest range from P’etiquette was launched today on the website; custom made harnesses.
As with our collars, there is a choice of eleven colours of leather available, and they can be made to fit any sized dog, with four options of strap width. The harness shown below comes with a choice of two colours of Swarovski crystals.
In order to measure your dog for a P’etiquette handmade leather harness, please follow the following instructions:

We need 3 measurements to make the harness:
- A – Neck Width
- B – Chest Measurement
- C – The distance from the collar (under the chin) to under the chest where you took measurement B
Once you have these measurements, then choose the size from the options available which will fit your dog best.
How P’etiquette Dog Collars Are Made
June 1st, 2010The story of each P’etiquette collar begins with the selection of the finest leather hide.
The hide is cut into strips, measured, the front end rounded, and the edges smoothed.
For our coloured collars we hand dye the leather to a choice of nine vibrant colours in a five stage process, resulting in colours not often seen around a dogs neck!
The decorative parts are then added to the collar according to the order. Swarovski crystallized elements are riveted into place by hand, or semi-precious gemstones and beads are hand-sewn using super strong nylon filament. This process can take up to 5 hours!
Next a soft leather lining is added to the back of the collar for extra comfort and the collar is stitched with a matching rot proof thread.
Then, the buckle, loop, D-ring & eyelets are added to create the couture collar.
Finally, the P’etiquette ID tag is added and the collar is complete.

May 18th, 2010The final preparations for the trade stand at the Scottish Kennel Club this week are well underway, I’ve a handful more half-check collars to complete and bring with me and a few other half finished collars to finish.
The trial run of the tent assembly was a success, it can be done with one person!!
Going up to Ingliston on thursday morning to set the stand up, and then looking forward to meeting lots of new people on friday, saturday and sunday.
See you there!
